E-xpress interactive, one of the country’s leading video game distributors has announced a partnership with Blizzard, to distribute their games in India. This includes games like Overwatch, Starcraft II, World of Warcraft and Diablo III.

The pricing for the games in India will be as follows: World of Warcraft is priced at INR 699, while the expansion pack is priced at INR 1999, The classic RTS Warcraft 3: Gold Edition is priced at INR 999, while Diablo II Gold is priced at INR 999.

Diablo III and its’s expansion, reaper of souls will be available for INR 1299 individually or as a collection, the Battle chest is priced at INR 1999. The console editions of Diablo III is priced at INR 1999 for the current gen consoles and INR 1499 for the last gen consoles.

Overwatch is available only as the origins edition, priced at INR 3299 for PC and INR 3999 for consoles. Starcraft II and its expansion are priced at INR 999 each or as a collection, the battle chest is priced at INR 1999.

The Indian pricing isn’t too bad, considering the official US pricing of Diablo III is still $19.99 (INR 1300 approx.). Surprisingly, we seem to be stuck buying the origins edition of Overwatch, which is sold at a $20 mark-up at the Blizzard store, the standard version of Overwatch retails for $39.99 (INR 2600 approx.), while the origins edition sells for $59.99 (INR 3900 approx.), so the pricing we get falls somewhere between the two editions, for the PC at least.

“We’re pleased to be working with e-xpress Interactive to bring our games to India,” said Gio Hunt, executive vice president of corporate operations at Blizzard Entertainment. “We pour a lot of ourselves into the experiences we create, so it’s important to us to be able to share them with the widest possible audience. We’re excited that this collaboration directly supports that goal and helps us welcome more Indian players into the global Blizzard community.”
