The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has finally come to India with a price tag of Rs. 67,900. The successor of the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 sports an Infinity Display like the Galaxy S8 / S8+, a cutting edge dual camera setup, and an improved S Pen. The phone will go on sale in the country starting on 25th September 2017.

Starting with the specs, the Galaxy Note 8 comes with a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ (2960 x 1440) Super AMOLED screen. The 18:9 Infinity Display curves subtly at the edges resulting in a very low bezel area. Samsung's latest flagship comes with a metal-glass exterior and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Note 8 along with its S pen are IP68 certified water and dust resistant.

Under the hood, there lies the powerful Exynos 8895 Octa chipset. The 10 nm SoC features four custom high-performance cores clocked at 2.3 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.7 GHz. This is mated with a twenty-core Mali-G71 GPU.
Moving on to the memory department, the Note 8 has got 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of onboard storage. Software-wise, the smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Samsung's in-house customizations and some additional apps.

The latest flagship from the South Korean company comes with advanced biometrics like Iris Scanner, fingerprint sensor, and facial recognition. The handset is also loaded with Bixby smart assistant, Samsung Knox, Samsung Pay, etc.

Coming to the optics, there is a dual 12 MP + 12 MP camera at the back of the Galaxy Note 8. Together they support up to 2x optical zoom and offers some innovative imaging techniques. The best part is that both the cameras come with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). For selfies, the Note 8 has got an 8 MP front shooter.
Speaking of the connectivity, the newest flagship from Samsung supports 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port and every other general feature. A 3300mAh battery juices up the handset.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is now available for pre-order and shipping will start from 21st September 2017. The Indian retail price of the phone is Rs. 67,900. For the early customers, Samsung has thrown in some amazing offers like a free one-time screen replacement, free wireless charger, double data benefits from Reliance Jio with up to 448 GB of additional data, and Rs. 4000 cash back for HDFC credit card owners.

Today, the South Korean tech giant also launched the Samsung Upgrade Program in India.
